Digital radiography

Digital X-rays are a diagnostic tool to help detect and diagnose decay, fractures, abscess and periodontal disease. They should be taken at least every year and when necessary depending on the procedure of if it is an emergency. By using digital X-rays we cut down on developing time since they are immediately shown on the monitor, and also the can be magnified to help diagnose any problems. Digital radiography uses the lowest dose possible cutting significantly down on the amount if radiation the patient is exposed to

Remember always to tell your office if you are pregnant, think you might be or trying to get pregnant, and in what trimester, since X-rays can cause damage to the baby.
